We’ve got another great fight card coming up at the Grizzly Rose this month! On Saturday May 30th three of our Muay Thai fighters will enter the cage to have it out with some of Colorado’s local talent in Sparta Combat League‘s Striker’s Quest V. Sparta Combat League (SCL) is a local promotion that puts on frequent events, including Muay Thai and MMA fights. Coach Chris Tramell was recently named their Muay Thai Fighter of the Year, and his title fight against Brian Scraper was voted SCL’s Fight of the Year (watch the video).
Fights will start at 2:00 PM, and we’ll have tickets available at the front desk of ETC Boulder.
About our Fighters:
 Â
Coach Dan Wilson is a kickboxing coach who has been Training Muay Thai for about seven years and fighting for five of them. He’s had fifteen fights, with a record of eleven wins and four losses. Over the last few years, he’s acquired two amateur titles. Dan lived in Thailand for ten months and fought nine times while he was there. He is a 60kg Bangla Stadium champion. This will be his first US pro fight, and he’s looking forward to this debut.
Coach Steve Eisman has been training at Easton for four years, and coaches in the kickboxing program. He’s made two trips to Thailand to train, and most recently spent three months in Kanchanaburi, where he trained at Sitmonchai Gym. His most recent fight was in Bangkok, while training at Sitmonchai, and he won by first round knockout. In preparation for his upcoming fight, he’s been training nearly full time with Coach Tony Cummings, who is helping Steve to become a more versatile striker by adding a strong boxing foundation to the kick-heavy style of the Thais. He can’t wait to make the walk to the ring, and represent Easton, Elevate Thai Boxing, and Sitmonchai Gym to the best of his ability.
 Â
Cody King recently moved to Boulder from Amarillo, Texas. He started training Muay Thai back in Texas at Elite MMA under the tutelage of Coach Chris Tramell about three years ago. He had his first kickboxing fight in a tournament in St. Louis, MO, where he knocked out his opponent with a head kick in just eight seconds. He has had four MMA fights, with a 3-1 record. All wins were by submission, and the single loss was by decision. This is his first fight in Colorado, and he’s fighting for SCL’s amateur Featherweight title.
