We are so excited to bring to you Coach Kate Eischen as our Easton Centennial Coach Highlight this month!
The idea of highlighting a coach each month is not only to share an example of someone who brings outstanding coaching technique and dedication to the mats during class. It’s about shining a light on someone who embodies the core values of Easton every single day. And who better accomplishes that than Coach Kate Eischen?!
After moving to Colorado in 2007 from Baltimore, Maryland, Kate first became a part of the Easton family when she started training Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu in 2013. Kate says that while she may not have known it at the time, she was drawn to the mats at a time when she needed something more out of life and she hasn’t looked back since!
Coach Kate lives in Colorado with her husband and two daughters. Kate’s family has truly lived the Easton lifestyle as both girls have grown up on and around the mats: Molly in the tigers program and Mackenzie playing on the mats as mom coaches or trains.
Kate as a Coach
Kate started coaching at Easton in December 2017. Teaching both kids and adults, Kate says she is honored to work with people of all difference backgrounds. Coaching not only allows her to be a part of her students’ martial arts journey to better themselves but also allows her to witness the future of Easton be molded through the kids and teen students.
In the future, she hopes to aid in the expansion of the kids Muay Thai program and increase their support at every level of training and competitions they may participate in in the future.

Coach Kate truly brings an energy of acceptance and encouragement to all of her classes. She makes all of her students feel as if they are a part of the Easton community and able to meet their goals – no matter what they are!
We love Coach Kate’s positive attitude and her constant encouragement that anyone and everyone is welcome on the mats!
“Your success story may involve competing at a high level or it may be doing ten push ups. You’ll be supported and seriously encouraged no matter what your personal goals are.”-Coach Kate Eischen
We can say kind and supportive points about Coach Kate all day, but this quote of hers truly says it all about who she is as a person, coach, and student of the arts..
“Training has helped me to be more patient, and a lot more calm. It’s forced me to be humble, while at the same time making me more confident. You realize you are capable of great things with the right level of commitment and instruction. Another thing I’ve grown to love about training is that when you’re on the mat, it doesn’t matter how good you are at your job, how “smart” you are, what you look like – you don’t wear makeup or jewelry, and you’re wearing the same thing as your partners, material things you may or may not have are meaningless. You have to rely on your character and your training. The mats are the great equalizer, and everyone is welcome.”-Coach Kate Eischen
Thank you so much for being exactly who you are, Kate! Our school and community truly would not be the same without you. We can’t wait to see where your Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu journeys take you! You help Easton be what Easton is every day and we are forever thankful for that.
We are honored to have you as the Easton Centennial Coach Highlight this month!
