Easton Lowry is the closest Easton academy to Aurora, and our Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program builds focus, confidence, and self-defense in a structured, supportive room. Classes are split by age and experience so every kid is challenged at the right level.

Some of the kids Antônio “Junior” Fidelis Jr. taught are still at Easton — a few of them now teaching. He has coached jiu jitsu since 1998, started training in Rio de Janeiro when the sport was taking off there, and is a 4th-degree black belt under Amal Easton. Joey Willett coaches the Tigers with him; nearly every class Joey teaches is a kids class. “I try to make every class I teach better than the one before.”

What to Expect on Day One

Your first class is free, and every part of it is built for someone who has never done this before.

What to wear & bring

Bring your child in comfortable clothes — we provide a loaner gi for the first class. A water bottle is all they need.

What happens in class

The first class is free. A coach who knows how to make a nervous first-timer feel at home pairs your child with a friendly partner and walks them through the basics. Parents watch from the side.

No experience? You belong here

No experience is needed to start. Most kids walk in never having grappled, and the room is built to welcome them from day one.

Joey has taught Lowry's kids jiu jitsu for more than a decade — he started training in 2013 and was coaching within a year. Off the mats he directs federal programs for Aurora Public Schools, and both his daughters train here. “Every student can learn and do hard things.”

Jarrett runs the Lowry academy and still competes — Open Class gold at the 2026 IBJJF Denver Open, silver at No-Gi Worlds the year before. He teaches intermediate no-gi, and he'd rather explain why a technique works than tell you that it does.

I cannot say enough good things about the Little Tigers program at the Lowry location! My two kiddos (5 and 7) started the program not long ago - and already we are seeing a sense of internal confidence and an increased focus for both of them. The coaches are absolutely incredible! We initially found the Easton training centers through researching various kids programs. Both of my kids as well as myself train and we have found the professors, coaches and facility at the Lowry training center to be absolutely incredible. The Easton curriculum and their attention to detail is unmatched and is hands down the best in the state especially given the number of locations and options for classes.
