This weekend is a big one for our school in Castle Rock! Master Kazeka Muniz is visiting us from his gym in Palmdale, CA and holding two seminars in castle Rock this weekend. Master Muniz is an international competitor and has had an amazing career. This is a great chance for students of all levels to learn some new things.
Kazeka Muniz
In 2004, Kazeka helped found England’s number 1 MMA gym the “WOLFSLAIR” where former UFC Light heavy weight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Michael “the Count” Bisping trained. In 2009, Kazeka finished his bachelor’s degree in Sports Science at the Havana University “Cerro Pelado” in Cuba where he has spent the last 12 years going to learn the “ Cuban Way ” of training athletes.
Master Kazeka Muniz was the strength and conditioning coach for 4 Olympic gold medalists in wrestling from Cuba; Jandro Quiniand, Mijael Lopez, Alexy Rodriguez, and Yuel Romono. In 2009, upon completion of his Sports Science course and due to the honors he achieved as the wrestling’s team coach, he received a gold card from the Cuban Olympic team allowing him on the floor to coach at the Olympics.

- 2x World Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Champion
- 5x Brazilian National Champion
- Placed 3rd at the Moscow Open Wrestling Championship in Moscow, Russia and the Tbilisi Wrestling Championship in Georgia. There he had the great honor of defeating Olympic champion Umakhanov Mourat 3×1.
- Gold medal at the International Sambo Championship Summer Festival in Borjomi, Georgia
- Gold medal at the Sambo Championship in Krasnoyarsk, Russia

Master Muniz will be holding a women’s self defense course Friday at 5:30 and a BJJ seminar Sunday at 11. Everyone interested can sign up at the club or at the site. Again, this is an excellent chance to learn from a master of the sport!
