Arvada Happenings October 2017

October was another bustling month at ETC-Arvada. Our amazing coaches and students were as busy as ever on the mats with one of our busiest month of classes and within their own competitive pursuits as well.
To kick off the month, on October 7th, Coach Shane Record competed in Grappling Industries’ Denver tournament, and represented incredibly, taking home gold in his No-Gi division. We couldn’t be more excited for Shane to be one of our head instructors within the Little Tigers & Tigers BJJ programs at ETC-Arvada, and are even more excited as he grows and develops on his Jiu Jitsu journey. Congrats Coach Shane!
Speaking of our kids programs, we will be hosting a ‘Superhero’ themed Halloween party for all Little Tigers & Tigers students are friend, which will be open and free to them! The party takes place on Saturday, October 28 from 6:00-8:00 pm, so be sure to spread the word and drop off the kiddos for a couple of prime time Saturday night hours on us!
In our striking department, Coach Wes Argrow just recently got back from representing Team USA at this year’s IFMA Pan-American games in Mexico City. Wes represented the Easton Muay Thai community wonderfully, putting on one of the highlight fights of the tournament, but came up short in a hotly debated split-decision to a tough opponent from Mexico. We are so proud to have Wes commanding our striking mats on Mondays. Be sure to get in for one of his high-paced classes this coming month!
November is shaping up to be another high paced month for both our coaches and students at ETC-Arvada as we are looking forward to a very busy holiday season. Be on the lookout for more community events in the coming months, and we will see you on the mats soon!
