This past couple of weeks, two Easton Training Center Black Belt instructors have been traveling overseas in support of the troops. The Black Belts are Denver’s Steven Josephy, and Castle Rock’s Kurt Shrout. This all came about because Kurt has been the tour manager for the Armed Forces Entertainment organization for some time now. This is a volunteer position that allows Professor Kurt to give back to the military in a very special way. When the AFE needs to book a tour, they call Professor Kurt and he finds available fighters that are willing to go overseas and boost soldier morale. This particular trip, it worked out that Professor Steve was able to join Kurt, two of the founders of TAPOUT, and UFC fighter Todd Duffee. They were able to tour several military establishments throughout Europe and were able to boost the morale and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu combat readiness of the soldiers there. Here is a link to some photos from the trips Professor Kurt has taken. Check them out!!
