About Matrix Martial Arts

Conveniently located off of Castle Rock’s Meadows Parkway exit of I-25, Matrix Martial Arts is owned and operated by Derek Alumbaugh, a black belt under Professor Amal Easton. Founded in 2020, Matrix Martial Arts is an affiliate of Easton Training Center, and a Matrix membership gives you access to train at any Easton academy and vice versa.

Our tight-knit, welcoming community is home to world-class instructors experienced in both teaching and competition, and our coaches and staff do their best to make sure you have the best experience possible. Join us for a free class and see for yourself!

What Classes Can I Take?

Matrix Martial Arts offers classes seven days a week with a schedule that includes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai, and Kids BJJ and Muay Thai. Matrix takes kids as young as four years old, and we have classes for students of all levels – from beginners to seasoned competitors, and everyone in between.  Our weekly schedule offers classes in the early mornings, lunch-time, afternoons and evenings, so you can train whenever fits best!  We also offer small group and private lessons.

Matrix Martial Arts’ Facility

Matrix Martial Arts has a 3,000 square-foot facility with ample mat space for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai classes, including a 1,400 square foot mat area for Jiu Jitsu alone, and a pro shop. Its striking program features wall-to-wall matting for safe MMA training and Thai pads. Our Matrix facility is brightly lit and open, with high ceilings, wall-to-wall windows and a mirror spanning the entire length of the main mat room. The centrally-located front desk serves both as a main office and a viewing post with visibility to all points of the academy.

Matrix Martial Arts takes safety and hygiene seriously. We maintain clean bathrooms and training areas for our students, and we encourage a strong collective effort to keep our training environments sanitary, with everyone doing their part to keep food and shoes off the mats, and keeping ourselves and our gear clean. This way, we ensure that our training partners will be back tomorrow. Contact us for a Free Class today!
