Fight for the Forgotten Fundraiser

Easton Training Center is joining Justin Wren’s Heroes in Waiting Fundraiser! Justin Wren is a former UFC and Bellator MMA fighter. After retiring from professional fighting, he chose to focus on humanitarian work. His foundation, Fight for the Forgotten, has dual purposes. First, the international branch brings clean water to Pygmy communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Then the US branch spearheads anti-bullying campaigns in American communities. The Heroes in Waiting Fundraiser will bring together kids martial arts programs in academies nationwide to lead the charge against bullying and thirst.

Bullyproof Seminars at Easton

To raise funds for Heroes in Waiting, we’re holding two Bullyproof Seminars for kids, hosted by Professor Eliot Marshall. Professor Eliot is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, a former UFC fighter, an advocate for mental health support and awareness, and one of the owners of the Easton Training Center academies. Because Fight for the Forgotten combats bullying by raising awareness and empowering kids, these seminars will cover a variety of techniques to stop bullying. Bullying is very common in American schools, with one in three students experiencing bullying. We’ll first discuss calling out bullying behavior and standing up to a bully using words, and also teach fundamental Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques to stay safe if a bully lashes out physically.

All Kids Are Welcome!

These seminars are for kids 4-12, and everyone throughout the local community is invited! Whether your family has a membership at Easton Training Center for Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai, or if your child is a complete beginner with no martial arts experience, the Bullyproof Seminar will be a great day of learning. The kids will be separated into groups by age, so everyone learns age-appropriate ways to safely stand up to bullies. Above all, we want all kids to leave the seminar feeling strong, confident, and ready to face the world!

Registration is by donation. We ask a minimum donation of $20 to participate. And we of course welcome larger donations if you would like to further support the cause!

All non-member kids who attend will also receive 2 weeks of free kids martial arts classes at Easton Training Center.
