Timebomb Seminars in Colorado

This past weekend Easton Training Center was thrilled to host Tiffany “Timebomb” van Soest for a special two-day seminar in Boulder and Denver. Tiffany is a former Lion Fight Muay Thai World Champion, (temporarily) former Glory Kickboxing World Champion and she is a rising star at Invicta FC MMA. Expectations were high. Luckily for those in attendance, those expectations were completely exceeded as Tiffany came ready with an incredible two days of knowledge dropping for the Easton community.

Day 1: Boulder

Things kicked off on Saturday in Boulder with an enthusiastic and large group. Students included visitors from numerous local gyms, friends all the way from Glenwood Springs and even Amarillo, Texas! Clearly Tiff’s impact reaches far and wide, and we were so excited that Easton Muay Thai Director Sean Madden was able to put together another big weekend of fun and learning for our Muay Thai program. To loosen things up, the “Timebomb” lined up the large group and began working on the “thigh punch.” After more than a few quizzical looks on faces and drilling the “thigh punch” a few times, Tiff interjected with a quick, “Now make sure you never use that technique again!” and it was all laughs and smiles for the next two hours.

After an hour of drilling van Soest’s signature footwork and techniques, she opened the floor to students’ technique questions. The session ended with a general Q&A which included questions about Tiff’s career, training regimen and more. With the bar set so high on the seminar’s first day, we were even more excited about Sunday in Denver!

Day 2: Denver

Sunday’s afternoon of technique, largely followed the same format. Students in attendance included a great mix of faces from Saturday’s seminar and a smattering of new faces for the Sunday session. Techniques varied from the first day, so that students were able to glean something different from both sessions, but followed a similar structure that allowed students to build on concepts from the first day.

Things flowed wonderfully from one segment of the seminar to the next, again ending with an amazing and revealing Q&A session in which everyone was so enthusiastic that we all lost track of time and stayed an extra 15 minutes after our scheduled time! Being a part of the Easton community affords our students so many once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, and we’d like to once again thank all those who came out to this amazing seminar. Things are already in the works to bring yet another great seminar your way soon!
