The Return of Olympic Lifting Class

The Return of Olympic Lifting Class

You’ve been asking, and we’ve been listening! Our Olympic Lifting class is coming back in full force in February!
This program will be run by Coach Wes, who is a certified USA Weightlifiting Club Coach, and he’s revamped the structure to help you make the most of your weight training. The class will run on a 12-week cycle, with a 12 athlete limit per cycle. Coach Wes’ curriculum will focus on the Clean and Jerk and the Snatch–the two competitive lifts in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. Beginners are welcome! Each cycle will be prefaced by a week-long Weightlifting Foundations course, where athletes will learn the basics principles of the lifts. Each cycle will conclude with an in-house competition meet. Participation in this meet is encouraged for all Oly class students, but not required. It’s a great chance to set some goals, hit new personal records, and enjoy the camaraderie and energy of competition.
The Olympic Lifting class is separate from the CrossFit program, and requires separate sign-up. The three-month cycle will cost $150, which can be charged to your card on file. Our first cycle will begin on February 8th, with the Foundations course beginning on February 1st. Athletes must be at least 14 years old to participate. If you would like to add Oly to your membership and take part in the first cycle, please sign up at the front desk! Space in the program is limited, so this class will be first come, first served.
