Healthy Habits
Current daily habits I have been consistently implementing in efforts to help manage stress, stay healthy, and increase productivity:
- Mindfulness meditation
- Sam Harris’ Waking Up meditation app, is amazing and probably one of the best things I have ever spent money on. I believe it’s either heavily discounted or free at the moment. Even if it isn’t free, he will give it to you for free if you email him, and let him know that you currently can’t afford it.
- Wim Hof Method
- Admittedly, I was skeptical at first, but I have been doing it for close to three weeks consistently, and definitely notice an increase in my energy levels and an overall increase in my baseline mood. There are tons of resources online (including his own website) giving instruction on how to begin.
- I am working out every day, making sure I am staying disciplined.
- A book I love, and one I often refer to when I feel my motivation waning is Jocko Willink’s “Discipline Equals Freedom”. It is an excellent field guide to staying organized, task-driven and disciplined even when life seems chaotic and out of control. It also has an amazing workout regimine which I have been following closely.
