Professor Isiah Wright Seminar
On July 15th, Easton Arvada was very honored to have Professor Isiah Wright guest instruct our fundamentals gi class and intermediate/advanced no gi class! In his intermediate/advanced class, Professor Wright went over how to get out of the top of half guard and into mount. He also taught how to be heavy on the top of half guard. At the end he asked the class if we had any questions. Questions arose about ankle locks and knee bars, which Professor Wright answered by demonstration. We rolled and soon it was time to close out class. His advice to students was to get out there and compete. Push yourself out of your comfort zone and go against someone else with the same goal as you: to win. We are so lucky to have Professor Isiah come to Arvada and share his knowledge with us!
Member of the Month
July’s member of the month is Aram Neuschatz. Aram is a stand up guy and a dedicated martial artist. His dedication is shown in the amount of time he trains. He is either taking a private, or coming in during the day to get some extra bag work in. Read the full article to find out more about why Aram is so great!
