CrossFit Open 2015

CrossFit Open 2015

During the month of March, many of our CrossFit athletes participated in the CrossFit Open. The Open is a five-week series of workouts, which are available to everyone in the international CrossFit community. Scores for these workouts serve as qualifiers for CrossFit Regionals, which in turn feed into the CrossFit Games. Whether or not an athlete is trying to go to the Games, the competition setting of the Open is a crucible for some incredible performances. We’re so proud of everyone’s hard work, and would like to recognize some of our athletes for their accomplishments.
In the first week of competition, Emmalee Moeller hit 175 lbs. on her clean and jerk. Before the competition, Casey Easton had never completed a pull-up, but in the second competition WOD, she did 11! Kishore Jonnavittula had never done wall balls with the 20 lb. ball, but completed a whole workout at that weight. Angie Lauridsen hit 1,003 reps in the third workout, putting her in the top 20 in the region for the scaled division. In the fourth week of competition, Nicole Heberle placed in the top 100 in the region.
