Centennial Kids’ In-House BJJ Tournament

[vc_row row_type=”row” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Easton Training Center – Centennial held their first annual Spring In-House Tournament on April 15th, and it was a huge success by all measures!  There were over 70 competitors from both the Tigers and Little Tigers programs, as well as a crowd of supportive family members who came out to root them on.  These little warriors took part in this event to test themselves and to learn about healthy competition. While not everyone would make it to the podium, they would certainly all be better for the experience.  This attitude toward the competition environment is a mentality that the coaches have worked hard to instill in their young students since the day the tournament was announced.

Friends went against friends in fierce battle, only to hug each other and smile once the match was over.  The energy on the mat was truly inspiring, and there were smiles all around.  The purpose of this tournament was to foster a healthy respect and understanding for competition, and all the participants came away with a better skill set in that regard.  If you’re interested in having your child compete in an In-House Tournament, there will be an all-academy Easton In-House Tournament happening at the Denver location in the coming months.  Keep your ears open!

Special thanks to Coaches Jaymin Bagley and Nick Reid, who worked hand in hand with Shalane Pescevic to orchestrate what was truly an amazing event!  Also thanks to all the staff who showed up to coach, referee, or run the scoring tables. Thank you all for what you do!
