Easton’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fall fitness challenge results:
We want to congratulate Joel Eady on being the male winner of this year’s Max Muscle fall fitness challenge. Here are Joel’s comments on his experience.
The weight loss competition started on August first at that time I was 178lbs with 14% body fat. In the beginning of 2011 I was 238lbs most of which was fat. I started working out at Easton BJJ in April. I met Gary Connell of Max Muscle Highlands Ranch around June. Gary got me set up on a nutrition plan and on some supplements tailored for my goals. Between this change in my diet, working out at the gym, and training at Easton BJJ, I was losing weight and gaining muscle at a fast rate. When the weight loss competition was over in October I weighed in at 165lbs and 12% body fat had lost 2 inches on my waist and gained an inch of muscle in my chest. I do feel that I could have even accomplished even better numbers, but my busy schedule of an over 50hr work week, full time college student, and father of a 9year old 5 year old children, I was not able to devote as much time to the gym as I would have hoped. None of it would have been possible if I had not met Gary and the Max Muscle crew; these guys really know their stuff and can get anyone at any level dialed in. The best advice I can give anyone who wants to lose weight is go and see these guys to get set up on a plan. Then get active, join a club like Easton BJJ that offers many activities and you will be on your way to your new body.
