Summer Smoker and BBQ
Easton Training Center Denver hosted our summer Muay Thai smoker on Saturday August 29th. Advanced students from Denver, Boulder, Aurora, and Centennial fought in 13 bouts over the course of the afternoon. This event was open to green shirts and above with several months of sparring under their belts. Even for advanced students who are interested in competing, going into that first fight can be a nerve-wracking experience. Easton’s bi-annual smokers are a great opportunity for them to get a taste of the fighting world. Going up against other members of our tight-knit striking community is a chance for them to put their training to the test in a friendly, supportive environment.
We saw great match-ups, impressive performances, and commendable sportsmanship from all of our fighters. The energy was high throughout the afternoon, and over 100 friends and family members came out to the event to show their support. The potluck after the fights was a great success, and everyone contributed so much delicious food that we were able to make a donation to the local homeless shelter at the end of the day. It’s wonderful to see the program growing, and events like these wouldn’t be possible without the combined efforts of all of our coaches, students, and staff. Thank you to everyone who was a part of putting this together and making it run smoothly!
