Beginning June 1st: Easton Patches Required on Kimonos

Dear Students,

First and foremost, I’d like to thank you for all your love and support. Without you, our program wouldn’t be what it is today! As our community and student base continue to grow across the Front Range, we believe that it is important and beneficial for us to maintain our unified identity as a team.

Whether we’re rolling in the academy or competing on the local, national, or international stage, wearing the team patch on our gis shows pride and respect for our training, our instructors, and our community. When we represent our academy in competition, whether as a coach, first-timer, or seasoned killer, it’s also nice to be able to spot our team members. This helps us to support each other and feel the love!

For these reasons, beginning June 1st 2016, Easton Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is enacting a new uniform policy. All Jiu Jitsu students will be required to have an Easton patch on their gis. For now, Easton no-gi apparel isn’t required in training, but strongly suggested for competition. Additional patches from other academies are still fine to wear with your Easton patch.

All Easton Solid brand gis come with a pre-attached back patch, but if you wear another type of gi, patches are available for sale at the front desk of your academy! When getting patches attached to your gis, it’s a good idea to take a look at the IBJJF uniform regulations. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to any General Manager or myself.
Thanks, and see you on the mat!
