This was Easton’s first year participating as a group in the iconic Bolder Boulder 10K running race. The run took place on Memorial Day, Monday May 30th with Easton’s heat starting at 7:55 AM. We had a total of sixteen people sign up to test their speed running amongst 52,000 runners in Boulder that morning! Leading up to the race, we had group training runs every Saturday morning. Training began with a 1.5 mile run and we built on our distance throughout the weeks.
The race started with nervous laughter and ended with sweat and success. The Bolder Boulder is a well-oiled machine and people of all ability levels are encouraged to participate in this wonderful event. Along the race route, one will see local bands playing music, gymnasts from local academies flipping down the road, bellydancers, slip and slides, kids with water guns, and food of all types being offered to hungry runners. This will definitely be something Easton does again, and we are excited to see our participation grow in years to come!
