The Best of Easton’s IG: January Edition

One of the best parts (and arguably most people’s favorite) about Easton always goes back to the community that makes it feel like home. We love all of our students, staff, kids and parents, and we also love the village of support that has built up outside of the academy walls!

This week we have a special treat for you: some of our favorite moments, captured by students and members of our community, that have made it to the @EastonTC Instagram over the last several months.

+1998+ 25 Years of Martial Arts. 25 Years of community. 25 Years of friendships. 25 Years of being a family. // Easton is special, existing this long with so many locatoins is special, if you’ve ever been to Easton, you’ve felt it. Extraordinarily thankful to be part of this community, this team, this movement. Nothing but the biggest sense of relief whenever I walk through those doors and see all my coaches and friends. In this meeting, Mike Tousignant, Ian Lieberman and Alex Huddleston highlighted and discussed the responsibilities of the department head, paths for which they can grow within the company, decentralized command, and how we can work together through cross departments and locations. Thank you to everyone for coming out! Photos: Greg Streech @gregstreech.
On Friday May 26, 2023, Easton hosted a Department Head Retreat at Top Golf! This was an offsite meeting for each academy’s General Managers, Academy Operation Directors and Department Heads to get together to discuss important topics and build closer relationships. “Smell the flowers, blow out the birthday candles.” Easton coaches are well-equipped at keeping your kids safe, giving them tools to learn how to be calm and breathe, and remining them of their warrior spirits. Tourney Time. The @tbaclassicmuaythaiworldexpo are this week! What really separates tournaments from single bouts is the work of having to make weight through injury and fight through bumps and bruises to make it through your bracket. It’s a different game entirely. Words + Photo: Adrian Nigel @fighters.eye
Fall Scrimmage ~ What. An. Event.  These events have instilled the feeling and sense of camaraderie with the people that I train with and am grateful to call training partners or teammates. Congratulations to all the competitors – whether you choose to coneinue in your pursuit of Muay Thai competitively, or just simply want to train! You all inspire the future. We are Easton for a reason, Square Up. Words + Photos: Adrian Nigel @fighters.eye
Champions are made in the academy, on the mats; victory is just the result. Left pic @etcboulder, right pic @etcarvada.
We are all products of our thoughts. This is a reminder to thing positively. Photo: Forrest Bishop @forrest__bishop.

We love this photo of Coach Alex and his students at @eastondenver! Coach Alex is helping Kylan and Romeo work on maintaining the mount while Andre practices his “backpack” to stay engaged while waiting for his turn. Great work, Coach!! Photo @eastondenver

“That’s how it’s done. @bojanvelickovicmma won via dominant TKO in the first round. 3 down – 1 to go, as we advance into the @tipsportcz #gamechanger tournament in @oktagonmma. On to the next.” Via: Peter Straub @peterstraubmma

“I was not an athletic child. Everything was academics. I was nerdy and overweight and had no idea what I brough to the table no matter where I went. So I’m sitting here now with my busted up face and honestly just wondering how the hell I got here. When did this become all that was important to me? Every choice I make is in service to this. I made it to the top of my sport…and got three minutes to prove I belong here. Someties that’s all you get and you’ve got to give it everything you have. I know that I did. I’ll lick my wounds and eat a pizza and go back to practice with two black eyes. I still believe it’s worth it.” – Allie Readmond. Photo on the right: @tinyteeps
When we compete in martial arts, whether it be BJJ or Muay Thai, there is a catharsis and stress release that leaves us feeling empowered. Photo: @katrinasjportraits
Family bonding on and off the mats. Easton has created an atmosphere that’s welcoming for the whole family! Image on the left: Adrian Nigel @fighters.eye Image on the right: Greg Streech @gregstreech.

The physical exertion and focus required in Muay Thai can serve as a healthy outlet for stress and frustration, leaving you feeling empowered and emotionally balanced. Photo: @katrinasjportraits
