What is a smoker?

A Muay Thai “smoker,” or exhibition bout, is an event for amateur fighters that allows them to compete in a safe environment. There are no winners or losers in our in-house smokers, as the goal is not to “win,” but to experience competition and get a better understanding of how to compete. For the Easton in-house smokers, we pair up advanced students from various Easton locations based on size, experience, and other relevant factors. The students are encouraged to push the pace, use technique, and implement the skills they have acquired in training. However, they understand that at the end of the day, we are all ONE academy, and the goal is to prepare for competition on a larger scale. For spectators, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the sport of Muay Thai and see the skills of all of our Easton Muay Thai practitioners!
