Kids BJJ TRAVEL SEASON 2026
For all EASTON Kids BJJ Coaches, Youth Competitors, and Parents.
Check out the events below in chronological order:
WORLD JIUJITSU CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
The World Jiujitsu IBJJF Championship is the most prestigious Gi competitive event ever. We’re excited to add it to our calendar this year and expose our Teen/Juvenile students to the competitive experience it offers!
Dates
May 28th-31st, 2026
Venue
Walter Pyramid
1250 N Bellflower Blvd
Long Beach, CA 90840
Travel & Flights
We recommend the following:
- Arriving in Long Beach the day before the event starts.
- Flying into John Wayne Airport (SNA).
- Avoiding flights in the afternoon and evening. If your flight is delayed and your child competes in the morning, it could affect their rest.
Lodging
There will be no suggested central locations for this event. There are many hotel, VRBO, or Airbnb options in Long Beach.
AMERICAN NATIONALS 2026
We want all of our seasoned and newer competitors to consider prioritizing American Nationals this year. So, if you are new to travel events and can only take one trip this year, we recommend American Nationals! The event provides a fantastic opportunity for all our students (Kids, Teens, and Adults) to gain next-level competitive experience in Gi and No Gi.

Dates
Saturday, June 27th, 2026
Venue
Las Vegas Convention Center – Hall S1A / S1B
3150 Paradise Rd
Las Vegas, NV 89109
Travel & Flights
We recommend arriving in Las Vegas the day before the event starts.
Some families drive to Las Vegas, which can be far more economical than buying multiple flight tickets. The journey from Denver to Las Vegas is approximately 750 miles and 11-12 hours of driving.
We recommend flying into the Las Vegas Airport (LAS) if you are flying.
We recommend avoiding flights in the afternoon and evening. If your flight is delayed and your child competes in the morning, it could affect their rest.
Lodging
There will be no suggested central locations for this event.
In general, we recommend avoiding hotels on the Las Vegas strip. The Westgate Hotel, however, offers the advantage of being connected to the convention center where the event is held. Thus, you can walk from your hotel to the event. If you stay in a hotel, the food options will be more expensive but convenient.
There are many VRBO or Airbnb options in Las Vegas with cheaper nightly rates. They will likely be located farther from the venue, so transportation or a rental car will be added. As well as parking fees. Food options will be cheaper but may be less accessible. Many rental properties have full kitchens for groceries.
PAN KIDS 2026
Pan Kids is the largest BJJ Gi tournament for kids in the world! Every year, Team Easton makes the pilgrimage to test our skills against many of the world’s most talented and dedicated youth Jiu-Jitsu competitors! It is a unique three-day event of camaraderie, family, and competition.
Below, you will find our recommended team travel plan and essential information.

Easton Competitor Guidelines for Pan Kids
Please discuss with your coaches whether your child is ready to compete at Pan Kids. Still, as a general guideline, we recommend that students meet the following criteria before competing at this level:
- Pan Kids only has divisions for grey belt and up. Students must at least have a grey/white belt.
- They have won their division (age, weight, current rank) at three local tournaments.
IBJJF Membership Process
To register for any IBJJF event, all participants must have an active IBJJF membership. We recommend starting this process as soon as possible, but it will take time because signed professor approval is required.
Athlete Registration
- Pan Kids is for kids ages 4-15. The IBJJF doesn’t define your age by your birthday but rather: (Current Year) - (Birth Year) Example: (2026) - (2013) = 13
- Please remember that athletes must weigh in on the day of their competition, right before their first match in their uniform.
- When registering your child and selecting their weight class, please verify their weight while wearing the uniform they plan to compete in. They will only get one chance to make weight on the day of the event. We do not recommend cutting any child's weight for a jiujitsu tournament.
- We recommend re-weighing your child on athlete check day. Kids grow like weeds–they may weigh more than their initial registration date. Sometimes, kids' weight can fluctuate significantly if they have been recently sick or injured,
- Please discuss with your coach which division your child should compete in.
IBJJF Uniform Requirements.
There are strict GI requirements for this competition. Please ensure an Easton patch on your Gi.
If your GI has additional patches, please ensure they are in an IBJJF legal location.
We will also have custom Team Easton Competition gear for this event, and we request that all participants wear it at the tournament.
Visit this link for full details: Uniform | IBJJF

- GI pants should not exceed 5 cm above the ankle bone.
- They will also verify the following measurements: lapel thickness of 1.3 cm, GI collar width of 5 cm, and sleeve opening at full extension of 7 cm.
- Athletes cannot wear a t-shirt underneath the GI; if anything, it must be a rash guard.
- They are also prohibited from wearing pants (or spats) under the GI.
