Coach Kilian Beggan has been a part of the Easton Training Center family since she was just 11 years old. She attends the University of Colorado Boulder. When she isn’t training or coaching Tigers Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai classes, she spends her time studying and practicing languages.
Coaching grew naturally out of her love and passion, not only for Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, but also for the academy and the second family she has found here. One of the many things that Easton teaches is confidence. As a coach, Kilian tries to carry herself confidently to convey to her students that it is ok to be proud of themselves and to like who they are. She so often hears people say disparaging things about themselves, but she believes that this kind of thinking only limits her students. She doesn’t want them to hold themselves back. Kilian sees her job not only as teaching her students how to defend themselves, but also teaching them how to make a difference in the lives of people around them.
Kilian’s personal goals include earning her black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and black shirt in Muay Thai. Her biggest role models are her parents and the people who teach her every day. She admires her coaches and professors not only for their proficiency in Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, but also for their mentorship off the mat.
