What’s New in Arvada – October 2017

By Matt Bloss
As always, things have been steadily bustling at the Easton Arvada academy! We’ve unveiled a new, more consistent striking schedule which has already resulted in incredibly high energy classes full of both new and familiar Easton students. We are now offering 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM Kickboxing Monday through Friday. All-Levels Muay Thai takes place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday  at 7:00 PM, and Muay Thai Fundamentals Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 7:00 PM. We are always open to feedback from our amazing students, and would love to hear how the new schedule is working for everyone!

Our mats are packed in the Little Tigers, Tigers and Advanced Tigers BJJ and Muay Thai programs as schools across Jefferson and Denver counties are back in full swing, and it’s been incredible witnessing the added enthusiasm each fresh school year brings. Don’t forget, all of our Tigers students are always invited to bring a friend to try a free week of classes, so take advantage of the new school year by bringing a buddy along for your favorite class!

Our coaches have been busy in their pursuits as well, with Coach Bruce Bugbee recently adding some hardware to his collection by earning the Fight to Win Pro Light Heavyweight title by avenging his only loss in the promotion to Don Westman via Inside Heel Hook, while earning Submission of the Night honors in the process. We are so proud of Coach Bruce, and can’t recommend enough that you get in for his Intermediate/Advanced No-Gi BJJ classes Monday & Wednesday at 7:00 pm, as well his Friday All-Levels BJJ at 5:30 and Randori at 6:30.

Coach Wes Argrow traveled to Mexico City to represent Team USA in the prestigious IFMA Pan-American Championships from October 4th-October 8th. We are so proud of him, and are very lucky to have him on the schedule for all Monday striking classes!

And lastly, we would like to take the time to congratulate our GM Jeff Ake and his wife Erin on the birth of their beautiful first baby boy! We couldn’t be happier to add another member to the Easton family, so be sure to extend your congratulations as well when Jeff is in full swing at the academy in the coming weeks.
