Kids Summer Schedule Change

We now have a 10 am mixed Tigers and Little Tigers Jiu Jitsu class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! This schedule change will last until August 9th, for your summer needs! Get your training in early so you can have all day to play and hang out! Some of our students have been taking Jiu Jitsu in the morning and Muay Thai in the afternoon to space out training. We have even had some students come in for both the 10 am class and the 5 pm Jiu Jitsu class! We create this new class for your convenience, so take advantage of it!

Kids Summer Camps

Summer camps are going great, and there are still more to come! Next up is our Muay Thai Camp from July 15-19th! This camp will put your kids to work using the art of 8 limbs! It will run from 8:30 am to noon and we will provide snacks. We will do techniques that we don’t usually teach in class so make sure you sign your kiddos up for this camp!

Professor Amal Easton Guest Teaching

We had 55 people come to our Professor Amal Easton seminar on June 11th! We are so thankful for everyone who came out to support our lineage! Professor Amal Easton went to Rio in 1995 and the rest has been history. We are so fortunate that he came to Arvada and showed us some of what he’s been working on recently. We mostly went over taking the back and establishing back control. It was a great guest appearance and we encourage our students to make it to Easton Boulder for one of his classes!

Member of the Month

June’s member of the month is Bob Yeager who is a purple belt in Jiu Jitsu. Bob is a leader because he is not afraid to voice his emotions. He references the phrase, “What stands in the way becomes the way,” and elaborates on how he has applied it to his life. Read the full article to find out why Bob is such a great leader!

Coming Up….

Professor Isaiah Wright Guest Teaching 7/15

On Monday July 15th, Professor Isiah Wright will be teaching our fundamentals class at 6pm in the gi and our intermediate/advanced class in the no gi at 7pm. A little bit about Professor Isiah: he didn’t like Jiu Jitsu when he first tried but, but soon Professor Vellore got him on the mats again and he loved it. He’s been competing since he was a white belt, and has had 16 super matches. He became the 2x Fight To Win brown belt welter weight title holder! At the seminar he will be covering half guard, the g-roll, and leg attacks.

Ninja Night July 27th Blacklight Dodgeball

Blacklight dodgeball ninja night was such a hit, we’re going to do it again on July 27th! Take some time for yourself, drop your kiddos off at 6pm and pick them up at 9 pm! Only 20$ per kid and 30$ for the family, and as always nonmembers are free! Sign your child up online today!

Pad Holding Seminar July 20th

Grab your gloves and wraps because we will be holding another pad holding seminar on July 20th! Are you in kickboxing and want to evolve your game to Muay Thai? This seminar will be great for you! It teaches you how to hold pads correctly, and safely which will prepare you for Muay Thai! Already a pad holding master? Come show us your stuff, grow and learn with new partners! We look forward to seeing you all there!
