Happy Birthday Professor Nick Kline!!!

Easton BJJ wants to wish a very special birthday to Professor Nick Kline! Thanks for all you do!

I remember the Klines’ first days at Easton BJJ, they had never trained in any type of martial arts that I am aware of and who would have thought that these kids would grow to be the super studs they are today. I saw a couple of brothers with great personalities, who seemed passionate for the sport from their very first class.

It was as blue belts, that they began to shine. Professor Kline won a several tournaments and within a few years was really tearing people up. For Nick, however, it was not all easy. About four years ago he suffered a back injury that threatened to take Jiu-Jitsu away from him. His doctors’ suggestion was exactly that, get a job and use your math degree. I know Nick had to dig deep inside to see where his passion really laid and he resolved to make it work. Dedicating himself to his rehab and tireless training,  he was able to come back  and three years later he placed third in the Pan American Adult Black Belt division!

Today, I am certain he is among very few Americans who can actually compete at that level. Watching him train (or if your lucky to be on the receiving end of it) you would never know he was anything besides bullet proof. Professor is one of the most technically refined black belts I know. He is creative in a way only a math major could be.

Both Professor Nick and Coach Klines’ teaching ability and passion for BJJ are what make Easton BJJ Arvada one of the finest schools in the country. Any teacher would be proud and extremely lucky to have had students like this, as they are shining examples of what dedication and perseverance yield. So, as a teacher, training partner, business partner, friend and student I would like to wish Professor Nick Kline a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Thanks for making Easton BJJ special!
